Trip to Church

Today was my first day of church. Mommy and Daddy got there early so we could get our picture taken for the church directory. Everyone loved me and I was so good when I was being passed around to everyone. I really love being held :)

First Shopping Trip

Yesterday I took my first trip to the grocery store. I was so good for mommy and I slept the whole time! I love the movement of the grocery cart while I sit inside it in my car seat.

Coming Home

The nurse said I should get some tummy time, I love getting it with daddy

Today mommy and I got to leave the hospital!

My family! We are all so glad to leave the hospital and get home.

After I got fit in my car seat daddy went around to pick up the car. I waited with mom and grandma.

The car ride home was so nice. I got to sleep the whole way!

Ady is here!

Monday May 25th 2009 was a big day at our house. I woke up and my water broke while I was still in bed. Per the orders of my doctor I called the birthing center right away and headed for the hospital.

When we arrived at 11am I was already 7cm dilated!

By 1pm I was ready for an epidural, at that point I was already 10cm so I was hoping that things would go really fast. My family arrived to help support me just after that.

I started pushing but wasn't making any progress. After two hours the doctor told me that she was sunnyside up and it was possible that she wouldn't be able to fit. That gave me even more motivation to get her out, so I pushed for another hour with everything I had. However, when the doctor came back she informed me that she wasn't going to fit and we had to do a C-Section. So my family prayed for me.

By that time I was so exhausted I don't remember much about the C-Section other than I was numb from the neck down instead of the chest down, so I was not able to feel my arms. It went really fast and praise God that I was unable to make any progress as she had her cord wrapped around her neck twice! Now she is here and all safe and sound. We are both recovering really well.

Induction date

Yesterday I went in for my weekly check up and she told me that we should schedule an induction so I don't accidentally have her at home. So her nurse called me today and told me that I am scheduled for next Thursday at 5:00am. So by this time next week I will have a little baby in my arms. I can't even begin to imagine what that will feel like!

Still Pregnant

I went to the doctor again this Thursday and she did her normal check up.. First off I have swelled up like a balloon in the last week! My ankles, feet and hands have really blown up.

Now I am 5cm dilated and still no contractions. She told me that if my baby isn't born by next week we will talk about inducing me. I can't believe that I am half-way there already! My doctor is guessing that she will be around 7 1/2 lbs (that is just a guess though, she could be bigger is she is good at hiding).

I think that I am ready for her to come now. Not only is my house ready, but mentally and emotionally I have prepared myself for her arrival. The last few weeks I've been asking Andrew if he was ready and he always said yes, but now I think he's a little bervous to become a daddy.

Dilated already!

I went into the doctor on Thursday for my weekly check-up. She wanted to see if I was dilated at all, but informed me that most first time moms aren't dilated at all at this point, but if I'm lucky I will be a few cm.

After checking she looked at me surprised and told me I was really lucky because I was already 4 cm! Scary! She told me that I probably wouldn't make it to my due date, and if I did she wouldn't let me go past it.

When I was leaving I told her I'd see her next week, she replied "If not sooner"! Yikes, I don't think I'm ready for this, but I should have know since she already told me that I'd probably have her early with my short cervix. I guess I just thought it wouldn't be this early!
